It’s so great to be around four-year-olds. In general, they are some of the happiest and most fun people on the planet. Their interest and energy is mercurial. They throw themselves into nearly every activity with enthusiasm and a sense of purpose.

Speaking of positive attributes, my wife and I, Nana and Papa, have been the recipients of all this fabulous four-year-old stage of development has to offer … from our granddaughter, Lily, now 4.9 years old.

Just before Labor Day, Lily and her whole extended family made a visit to her preschool to get acquainted with teachers and other families and new friends.
