Hear Parker J. Palmer, Courage to Teach author!

Today’s the last day to get the “early bird” discount for the March 28th workshop with Parker J. Palmer at Wellesley College (near Boston). It’s a wonderful opportunity for teachers, school leaders—anyone who works in schools—to spend a morning with this inspiring educator and author exploring ways that schools can help students develop democratic “habits of the heart.” You’ll have plenty of time to reflect and talk with colleagues about how you can help children grow into the kind of citizens who can sustain a government that is truly of, by, and for the people.

Parker J. Palmer has been a teacher and social activist for nearly 50 years. He’s the author of The Courage to Teach and Healing the Heart of Democracy, and he’s also the founder of the Center for Courage & Renewal, which supports teachers, physicians, clergy, and others in the serving professions.

I hope you can attend this workshop. Time spent in the company of this luminous educator is always time very well spent.

It has been several years since we have heard Parker Palmer speak. We are eager to hear him again. Will there be a workshop or lecture around June 16 this year?
    Thanks,
